Natalie gets pampered: Spa Event

My Mother's Day present this year was a "spa day" with Natalie. It was run by the Sassy Princess Spa out of  Woodbridge VA. The event was actually in Vienna, VA - we arrived a bit early and I took some photos of my beautiful girl before the event started.

Once we got inside, well...it wasn't quite what I had hoped for. The event was not well run, unfortunately, and they had a number of service providers fail to show up. This led to very long waits for each service, and while we were very understanding, a lot of the moms weren't very happy. Luckily, the managers of the spa knew that the event went badly, and responded quite well to my constructive critique via email, and offered everyone who attended this year free passes for next year, and will change the way the event is run. And, on a more personal level, Natalie had a great time, so it really wasn't a total loss! Plus, the space was very pretty - check out some of my more artistic photos on my photography blog.

She got her first ever professional massage (about 4 minutes) - how cute is this?!
We both had our toes painted (we got to wear robes the whole time)
I saw this mirror across the way and couldn't resist grabbing a shot! Love how this came out :)
The last thing she was able to do was hair and makeup. She was so very excited to have this all done! I was still disappointed that I didn't get to partake, but I'm so glad I got to spend the day with her.
And here she is afterwards, with her hair and makeup done. Beautiful girl!
